首先，安装前要在上表面上标示彩色钢板的安装位置，基础（楼板梁）的顶面应填满1:3水泥砂浆或细石混凝土。第一块彩钢板安装时，20 mm后用1:3水泥砂浆垫层，用木楔控制水平，接缝处用1:3水泥砂浆嵌缝。
另外，彩钢板调平调直后，顶面两端用不锈钢接头或厚度不小于4mm的钢板固定，并做防锈处理。连接件的另一端应与混凝土埋件连接或钩在钢柱边缘。
其次，在板缝两端的接缝处涂胶。每5块横向板设10 mm厚角钢支撑。角钢的一条腿与混凝土埋件或钢筒表面焊接，另一条腿用空心钉固定在横向板内。每块墙板或整栋房屋外墙板的上层应采用均质砂和混凝土。使用彩钢板时，应采用螺栓和结构固定。
此外，彩钢板与基础之间的连接以及彩钢板之间的连接应用密封胶密封。端缝宽度为10-15mm，缝内填充玻璃棉或岩棉，嵌入聚乙烯棒后用密封胶密封。
