20世纪80年代末,日本新日铁公司开发了一种自润滑镀锌板,可用于电机壳体的冲压加工。
首先对镀锌板表面进行铬酸盐钝化处理,然后涂上几微米厚的有机润滑膜。该产品不仅具有良好的耐腐蚀性,而且具有优良的润滑性能。不久将用于各种电器和油罐的冲压工艺。

上世纪90年代,这种有机自润滑涂料的生产和应用已经商业化,在世界上处于领先地位,最具代表性。但自润滑涂层是一种含铬的有机润滑膜,对环境有害。
1984年,日本NKK钢管公司为改善镀锌板镀铬对环境的污染,研制了以聚乙烯为润滑剂,聚氨酯为基体树脂的薄型有机高润滑性复合镀层uz-l。1993年研制了uzsl涂料。
Uz-l和Uz-sl适用于复杂的冲压工艺,成形后保持良好的外观。有机复合涂料uz-c3于1996年研制成功。以改性乙烯基树脂为主要成膜树脂,润滑性高,涂层附着力好。
上世纪90年代初,川崎钢铁公司开发了具有铬钝化层和有机树脂涂层的河锌FS。它具有优良的耐腐蚀性、成形性、表面质量和抗指纹性能,但其导电性和焊接性并不理想。在这之后,fc-s得到了更好的成形性。采用两步法生产工艺,先对镀锌板进行无铬钝化处理,再涂上润滑膜,在镀锌板表面形成环保型自润滑双层涂层。
针对镀锌板自润滑涂层的三种主要产品gi-f、ga-f和eg-tj,由Koyama炼铁研究所和住友金属公司进行了与锌板的对比试验。
其中,在热镀锌板和铝锌板上分别采用铬酸盐钝化处理和涂有机高润滑膜的方法制备了gi-f涂层和ga-f涂层;在电镀锌板上采用涂含铬有机树脂润滑膜的方法制备了eg-tj涂层。结果表明,与基体表面相比,三种自润滑涂层具有优异的润滑性和耐腐蚀性。
此外,神户钢铁公司还开发了以聚乙烯树脂为基体、蜡为润滑剂、胶体二氧化硅为增强剂的自润滑镀锌钢板。

At the end of 1980s, Nippon Steel Company of Japan developed a kind of self-lubricating galvanized sheet, which can be used in the stamping process of motor shell.

Firstly, the surface of the galvanized sheet is passivated with chromate, and then the organic lubricating film with a thickness of several microns is coated. This kind of product not only has good corrosion resistance, but also has excellent lubrication performance. It will soon be used in the stamping process of various electrical appliances and oil tanks.
In the 1990s, the production and application of this kind of organic self-lubricating coating has been commercialized, which occupies a leading position in the world and is the most representative. However, the self-lubricating coating is an organic lubricating film containing chromium, which is harmful to the environment.
In 1984, NKK steel pipe company of Japan developed a thin organic high lubricity composite coating uz-l with polyethylene as lubricant and polyurethane as base resin in order to improve the environmental pollution caused by chromium coating on galvanized sheet. In 1993, the coating uzsl was developed.
Uz-l and uz-sl are suitable for complex stamping process and keep good appearance after forming. The organic composite coating uz-c3 was developed in 1996. It takes modified vinyl resin as the main film-forming resin and has high lubricity and excellent coating adhesion.
In the early 1990s, Kawasaki iron company developed river zinc FS with chromium passivation layer and organic resin coating. It has excellent corrosion resistance, formability, surface quality and fingerprint resistance, but its conductivity and weldability are not ideal. After that, fc-s was developed with better formability. A two-step production process was adopted, in which chromium free passivation treatment was carried out on the galvanized sheet first, and then a lubricating film was applied to form an environmental friendly self-lubricating double coating on the surface of the galvanized sheet.
For the three main products gi-f, ga-f and eg-tj of self-lubricating coating of galvanized sheet, the comparative test between them and zinc sheet was carried out by Koyama iron making Institute and Sumitomo Metal.
Among them, gi-f coating and ga-f coating are respectively made on hot-dip galvanized sheet and aluminum zinc sheet by chromate passivation treatment and coating organic high lubricating film; eg-tj coating is made on electro galvanized sheet by coating organic resin lubricating film containing chromium. The results show that the three self-lubricating coatings have excellent lubricity and corrosion resistance compared with the substrate surface.
In addition, Kobe Steel has developed self-lubricating galvanized steel sheet with polyethylene resin as matrix, wax as lubricant and colloidal SiO2 to improve corrosion resistance.
